Concept Of flipped classroom:

 Concept Of  flipped classroom:

The flipped classroom is a strategy which aims to increase student engagement. It is synonymous with active learning as student learn idea on their own and later  they discuss it in class room. student can use different audio visual learning materials for their study. They can watch the video prepare by their teacher or other experts .It is a type of blended learning where student are introduced to content at outside classroom setting and practice working through it at school. This approach assumes that there is no difference between a student listening to a lecture individually and with other students in class. There are plenty of ways these activities differ, and there are benefits that lecture can provide, such as create a social experience, students pick up from other students’ social cues.   . Flipped classroom has numerous benefit for teachers and students, some of  which are listed below;

  •  Less time needed to
  • cover basic information.
  •  It's flexible
  •  students can learn at their own pace Students take     responsibility for their learning.
  •  Students learn rather than encounter material in class.
  •  There are more opportunities for higher level           learning.
  •  It does not waste time transferring information to   students when that information is available to them in   books or online
  •  Instructors and TFs work more closely with students,   getting to know students better and providing better   assistance
  •   Increased collaboration between students
  •   Opportunity to create more engaging class
  •    Content can be re-used.                                                    Though flipped classroom has significant amount of benefits it may fail sometime. The  main reason flipped classrooms fail  because neglecting to adequately target students’ attention to the things they need to perform well. The reason flipped classrooms fail is because we don’t direct students’ attention effectively. If students don’t think about or pay attention to the right things, they won’t learn the right things. Direct their attention carefully and purposefully to get the pay off you are looking for.                                                   find a attached video  for more information. https://youtu.be/WObEusz0wlQ

  Flipped mastery model: The main theme of mastery model is to allow students to learn at their own pace. All students don’t need to learn similar topic at same time they rather work toward a predetermined objective. Mastery learning is suitable to the course where mastery of one objective is necessary for the overall success of all subsequent objectives. In this mastery model Students work either in small groups or individually at an appropriate pace. The teacher formatively assesses students and gauges student understanding. Students demonstrate mastery of objectives on summative assessments. For students who do not master a given objective, remediation is provided. Many researches regarding mastery model show improvement in student’s achievement, it increases cooperation among students.
